Healthy Holidays: Tips for Staying on Track

Most of us are guilty of using the holidays as an excuse to drop our mindful diets and health habits. While the holidays should be a time for merriment and enjoyment, there are ways to enjoy the holidays while staying on track. Many of us find ourselves a few pounds heavier after the holiday season and having to do some damage control—luckily, there are ways to prevent this cycle. One of the most enjoyable parts of holiday fun is to be able to feast on foods we aren’t accustomed to on a day-to-day basis, and we still can—as long as we simply exercise moderation. Eating a small, healthy meal before a holiday party is an easy way not to overindulge in the festivities’ sweets and treats.
